I really like the colors of fall so I thought i would use the things of nature, leaves and flowers to decorate my tree.

I made this with felt and the help of a friend who could cut the letters into a stencil for me. It will remind me to be joyful!

Painting my Counter Tops

I am planning on removing my wall paper, adding texture to my walls and painting. Unfortunately the color of the paint I liked did not match my counter. So I had to paint them before I could go to the next step. I had a few moments of panic but in the end I thought they turned out.

Growing Tomatoes

This is our second year at growing tomatoes. Louie built boxes out of old windows to protect them, this has worked well. We have plans to build a tomato/green house this fall again by using recycled windows. I am excited about this. We grew three verity's of heirloom tomatoes, next year there will be more. There are so many verity's of heirloom tomatoes how do you choose?
We have been making salsa and for the first time tomato soup.
It is September 23rd and I haven't had anything freeze! September is making up for the cold summer we have had, it is wonderful!

Yada Yada

The Women's fellowship at church decided to read the Yada Yada Pray Group series this summer. They have been excellent. The author Neta Jackson teaches such important truths that we may think we already know, like grace and forgiveness. I found this and thought I would share.
