Scalplook lookout

The yellow is from the Tamarack trees, one word beautiful!

Scalplock lookout was the destination on October 26 it was a perfect day. When we started the day it was 32, but by the time we reached the lookout it was a balmy 60 degrees. Then on  Sunday it snowed and was in the 20s only in Montana.

The First Day of Fall

On the first day of fall, September 22,  a group of five of us hiked to Mt. Brown Lookout. What an amazing way to spend the first day of fall.

Beautiful Day in A Beautiful Place, this fire lookout was built in 1936 and is manned

The tribe has gotten some new bulls who refuse to be locked up.

Hunting

These are from November when I went with my husband and his hunting buddy on horses looking for Elk. We didn't see any but enjoyed a wonderful day. It was the first time I had been on a horse in a very long time. I was so glad I went. My camera was giving me some trouble and I regret not getting a couple shots of my cute hunting companions.

Life on the Prairie

We had a great weekend it finally warmed up. My fishermen caught walleye and I got lots of sun.  O happy days.

Participated in my first 1/2 marrathon

In beautiful Missoula, Montana, It was great! After lots of unnecessary stress and worry. I am already planning  next year.

The Next Day

Apgar Look out is at an elevation of 5236 feet. In 2.8 miles you climb 1,800 feet. So when you get back there is nothing better the a refreshing dip in Lake McDonald. It was a warm, perfect day.

First Hike

We headed to Grinnell Glacier but were unable because of snow to make it. You can see Salamander Glacier in the second photo. I was a perfect day. The first photo is taken at Lake Josephine, the last photo is Grinnell Lake.
