The Sweet Grass Hills

This church is in Whitlash at East Butte a tiny community at the end of 40 miles of gravel

A grave all by is it self belonging to Jessie Rowe

Some how they knew someone was buried in spots but didn't know who. There were several unknown's

Looking at Gold Butte. This lone pine tree is the only tree insight

Looking toward West Butte. These volcanic mountains are full of history. They were first important to the Blackfeet Indians. Later miners and then rancher came here. You can see into Canada from the top of West Butte. The elevation at West Butte is 7,000 feet, you can see forever from the top. There are hunting opportunity's moose, deer, antelope & elk roam these prairies. There have been reports of wolves, and I am sure grizzle bears soon.

Fall

It has been a beautiful fall. It is Oct 12 and it hasn't froze yet, crazy! It can often freeze the end of August. It was 55 at 5:30 am when I went for a walk yesterday. Got to love it.

Crazy looking carrot had to take a picture.
